Masstodon Is a Distributed Net Rat

i think we might lose sight of just how expensive it is to run intr structure like facebook or gogle or twitter. It's a lot of server time, which is why masstodon was like a distributed net rat. But then its patchwork nature means it's just so limited in so many ways. And i don't see the left being able to devt to boot strap or grow anything like that.
