The Problem With Billings
Billing became important for our company post ipo is that we weren't, we don't release an a, r r number. Instead we just tell him the revenue number. The revenue number is a lagging indicatorht, or its, it's a lagged indicator. So if i sell a whole bunch of deals in march, only a third of that actually shows up in revenue in that quarter and so revenue is always lagging. While billings, what i actually sent invoices out for, is something that they could get afield for what you actually sold in the quarter. We had never done that before.
