In two thousand and four, carey loses. George wbish wins by a significantly larger margin than in two thousand when he lost the popular vote. The immediate reaction across the media is, democrats have lost touch with what was then called the heartland. And so, you know, the worst of america politically, and at least much brighter moments coexist pretty close to each other. But 20 22 is going to be probably like a reaping for democrats, i think, because we are such dire times.
