The History of Church and State

The marriage of church and state focused upon Rome and the authority of the pope. As early as Jan Hus in the 15th century comes along and begins to question the right of the pope to impose such things. This precedes Bacchus by quite a long time this precedes the enlightenment also. Even here in Texas we had to shut down our churches for a period of six or eight weeks over government overreach.
