In 19 65, berlin' architect in the making, min meinhard von gerken won a competition to design tegel together with his colleague, wokwin marg. The original plans that von gerkan drew upa were two hexagonal rings, not one, but only one of coscot built. In the end, the architects wanted to get passengers from their transportation to their planes as quickly as possible. So they placed checkin desks an exit at a maximum of 30 meters from security and departure gates.
