The Role of the Family in Psychoanalysis

The first half century of psychoanalysis is invested in critiquing early 20th century fascism and like strong man patriarchy, such that it would be very hard to use psychoanalysis. And by the way, I hate Foucault. It's like, don't do it. You're doing it. All that in service of protecting the nuclear family is also under that's a conservative program about protecting a certain vision of the family. Like the family is the center for them in some ways, even as they undo it.
