On the surface, it looked as if this was a outbreak primarily affecting whie, more affluent, gay men. But h i v and cobe 19 tragically concentrate among low income communities of color,. immigrants, trans gender, an genera nonconforming people. And we were very concerned that these populations were being overlooked. The next question was how to tackle the outbreak. It took active symptoms that were more painful for people to finally get access to the health care and treatment that they needed.
