Freud's parents were jewish, and the anti semitism in freiberg had been going on for hundreds of years actually. Freud found his father to be remote and a bit of an authoritarian. His mother, amalie, was 21 years old when she had segmund. She was young, vibrant, n nurturing. All this fed into his later life.
