The Media's Subcategorizing of Domestic Stories About Climate Change
El Nino predicted to push global average temperature over 1.5 target set by Paris agreement. I wonder whether the media shouldn't be drawing connections between domestic stories about climate policy and worldwide stories about climate change. Maybe this is part of a wider problem with how the media subcategorizes world and domestic news in ways that encourage politics to become all about elections, not about real world responsibility. Labour's infighting isn't just about the Ulez. It's also about benefits and Keir Starmer saying he wouldn't drop the Tories two-child benefit cap.
