I understand what you're saying. There's always a tension in foreign policy between interests and values. If we don't support Egypt, are you likely to get something better? Well, I think we learned from the Arab Spring, probably not. As imperfect as the current state of affairs is, one can imagine far more imperfect states of affairs. The choices tend to be imperfect. That's what it is in many of these cases. You've done way too much research here. This is a very unfair interview. You should have won.
