How to Protect Yourself From Nefarious Recruiters

A lot of junior designers are so desperate for a UX job that they will literally take anything. The thing I ask myself often is, why wouldn't you just get a job bartending or waiting tables or working in retail? You're not going to learn all these bad behaviors and you's not going to be stressed out. A really important thing that most people don't consider when they negotiate is what does it take for you to walk away? That's super important because if you don't decide that early on, your emotional state will compel you to make decisions that are not in your best interest.
