Is This a Bad Move for the Region?
Many in the region on they feel that this visit is likely to escalate tensions. They also fear that the visit would heighten some intensifying rivalry between the us and china. And one of them told me that the region probely has enough problems of its own. It has to do with food security, higher fuel prices and inflation. So they said that it would have been best if the trip had not taken place.
