The Negative Lens of Mind Blindness

In social situations, mind blinders can make it difficult for autistic people to pick up on group dynamics. It's a difficulty in understanding and interpreting thoughts, feelings and beliefs of others. If you're going to marry or be in a relationship with an autistic person, don't expect to get a neurotypical person. And this is the problem with relationships. You have a neurotypicals person placing unrealistic expectations on an autistic partner based on the expectations of what they would get potentially from a Neurotypical partner.
