Did Heinrich Schliemann Discover Troy?
Heinrich schliman used dynamite and hired a railway engineer to drive a massive trench through this great, big mound. Schliemann himself was a business man, a very successfula trader. He'd always been fascinated by the trojan legend,. And conceived this desire to prove that homer wasn't just an epic poet, but he was a historian. If there ever was a real trojan war, it would have happened in the thirteenth century.
