The Heartbreaking Struggle of Joe

Joe was making progress every day and all things considered he was doing really well. The thing everyone was coming to realize was that even the most basic version of survival was going to be completely exhausting. It took so much longer. Everything down there was paralyzed. None of the muscles worked. So Joe had to do it manually but he couldn't even really do that. I think short of losing your child knowing that your child is so hurt physically and you can't fix it ... That was really hard to know that for once we couldn't fix it and we couldn'tfix him.
