Evolution shaped us not to see the truth, but to have a user inter face that keeps us alive. The language of space and time is simply the wrong language to cribe objective reality. Every calory that you spend on percept n is a calory you have to go out kill something and eat it to get. That's very, very costly. So there are selection pressures to do things very, very cheaply. And so we use tricks and hacks. We're just seeing our interface symbols."
