Just reading the words of christ is unbearable. It's hard to really read what christ asks of us, because it's really unbearable. The challenge is how do we recover the ritual, acralization of this world and ensolment of this world through ritual? I think that in a proper kind of balance christian life, you there is,. thereis an aspect of the christian life which is celebratory, and that's important. But there is also an aspect of Christ’s message: penance and repentance, constant repentance. And so those two extremes held in balance, i think, are what make it bearable.
