How to Schedule a Marathon

If you're scheduling your marathon in mid-July and it's a 10 a.m. start, you're probably not going to run very fast. You are going to be struggling with heat and humidity. I typically don't like runners to race marathons in the summertime. If she's getting into her marathon training in the winter, let's just say December or January, she can probably run a really good April or maybe May race. And that means you're going to avoid the dramatic heat of the summer.
