In the Sutra Kara, there are three steps to prove something. The first one is a proposition called Pratidna which means fire on the hill. Then because there is smoke, this second step do math known as Hethu or pro-bands in Sanskrit. And the third one is you have to say that there is an invariable relationship between the two objects and so wherever there is smoke,. there is fire, this is the statement of inviolable relationship. As in the kitchen, this is example of the same relationship.
