When we talk about fear in terms of the law, the law is just telling you the truth. The only place that there's hope is in christ. We don't run from the judge because he's the redeemer. In his incarnate nature, jesus terrified his disciples. Even when he was helping them with storms, they were friaked out by him. I think too, it's so important for us to to realize what we say.
All our fears can be encapsulated in three words: security, life, and justification. But the Bible repeatedly tells us, “Fear not!” So how do we live without fear? In this episode, the WHI hosts consider how fear can shift from terror to trust, from law and gospel. They examine the biblical promises that undergird the commands to fear not, celebrating the comfort found in facing our fears united to Christ.
