Is There a Risk of Virus Mutation in China?

From the way you've described the experience in Hong Kong, it seems to me plausible that there could be very high infection rates in China. And if that was to go up to the 50% that your colleagues measured, that would be a huge number of people. Do you have any sense that that would allow the only chronic variant to mutate further and find new ways to evade our vaccines and our immunity? Yeah, that is, of course, a different problem from a global public health point of view, but clearly that is the case because you're talking about very large part of the global population.
