Many times customers choose to age out their data. Typically you see this is due to storage cost en the fact that you may not have a business use case n for the older data. The raw data, measurements that you're injesting can sometimes be really high in volume. These can be expensive to store all of the raw data. And then also expensive if to repeatedly scan all that data at query time.
