JTAC is Joint Terminal Air Controller, so a person on the ground with a radio directing aircraft and air-launched effects to have an effect on the ground. He was born in Southern Ontario but lived in Edmonton for three years at that point before going to Afghanistan. "I don't think she was truly surprised, but, you know, it was November 26th or 27th when we finally got the call," he says of his fiancee.
