Malcolm Gladwell: I'm baffled by this notion of authentic self. If you would talk to me when I was 15 and you'd said Malcolm, who are you? He says he doesn't believe in personality because we're so much a product of our situation and environment that it's foolish to talk about Personality. In high school, he recalls wearing a cowboy hat at outdoor concerts - but later realised how stupidly stupid the idea was.
