Is Functional Programming Even Useful?
Roxanne Jones: The fact that we had functional React components, albeit they were very useless. And I guess this comes back to like the whole functional programming discussion of like, well, is functional programming even useful? Like we do have to manage state at a certain level and Elm is a great example. So again, I'm not, I don't use Elm. But it is much closer to what you are functional UI programming would look like than what we've got with React hooks and the composition API.
