Eryktho and Sextus Pompey

Eryktho is someone who hangs around burial grounds and deals specifically with bringing corpses back. She sinks her hands into the eyes, digs out the cold eyeballs and gnaws the pallid nails on with it hand. So very much in the Roman witch tradition there. With her own mouth she has burst the noose and knots of the criminal. Criminal corpse is often seen as quite powerful.
