The Ancestry of the People of Tafaralt
Tafaralt is one of the earliest cemeteries ever found, with 28 separate burials. Many people had intentionally removed their upper incisors during their lifetimes. Their tools belonged to an industry known as ibero morusian which had deep roots across north africa. They carried pine nuts and acorns in baskets and prepared them to eat with grindstones. Most of the ancestry of tafaral's people tied them to the netufian hunter gatherers of the near east.
