The Chance of China Ending Up Like Japan
Adam Smith asks whether there's a chance of China ending up as the next Japan. He points out that unlike Japan in the 1990s China is still growing and has enormous development needs which are yet to be met. Most analysts expect the Chinese economy to actually hit five or slightly above five, he says. The standout case for him is the Chinese motor car industry where they're about to enter an entirely new epoch.
