The Reluctant Theologian Podcast
How to Respond to the Mota Collapse Argument?
Ridwit: I would want to address not this identity of god's act and whatever. But i would want to go straight for the glar, so to speak. The potentiality argument is the one that seems to me to be the most devastating form of the mota collapse objection. My response basically has two parts. On the one hand, i make a clarification about theological language describing divine action. And on the other hand, i identify a certain causal principle, a principle of causality, that i think the proponent of divine simplicity must deny if they're going to preserve ocatually contingency.
