Is There a Relationship Between Pain Tolerance and Gender?
Elise Van Meerbeek wants to know, is there an observed relationship between pain tolerance and genders? The thing about pain tolerance is, I don't exactly know what that word means. You have receptors in your mouth that respond to touch and heat and sensation. So you have sensors on your tongue that pick up on how hot or spicy a food is. It doesn't become interpreted as pain until it gets to your brain and your brain inputs all the other information also.
