The four observations of Isaac Bacchus concerning the difference between civil and ecclesiastical governments. All acts of executive power in the civil state are to be performed in the name of the king or state they belong to. The church is armed with light and truth to pull down the strongholds of iniquity while the state is armed with the sword to guard the peace and punish those who violate the same. There's never been a time when church and state were wedded together that has been good for the church amen.
