As a leader, you're going to be more effective if you can get people to buy into your vision rather than to kind of top down. No one wants to run an authoritarian business because people are just going to fear you and not really believe in you. Dave Patres' other strength was he put people in positions who were smart, had the horsepower and the drive to accomplish what he wanted to accomplish.
