Tragic kingdom was the best selling rock album of 19 96, hitting number one on the bill board 200 by december 96. Other scaw punk bands followed in their wake, including gold nger from california and suicide machines out of detroit. In 19 98, most of these bands took part in the scaw against racism tour,. Some wondered if it was the right place to be teaching people about racial tolerance.
