Boosting Up a European Defence Industry?
If the goal is European defence and more military integration among EU member states, I think you're completely right that the defence industrial part of it is hugely relevant. Why not at least pick some of the low hanging fruit around this subject and boost up a native European defence industry? Build up a European armed forces tang, guraiifil, a fighter jet,. something you can mass produce for all of the European armies to increase interoperability whilst boosting their own economies. What's holding something like that back?
