The Communist Position on the Republic of Spain
The Nationalists got 200% out of every single weapon. The Republicans invariably only got 50%. Why is this the case? Partly it's because too many arms were diverted to secondary fronts for political purposes. But also there is a massive, massive fundamental flaw at the heart of a Republican military organization. Most people who have worked on the Spanish Civil War are not military historians but photovolta historians.
