The Importance of Being Good Enough
For every job I've got, I've felt like I wasn't good enough to be there. And MasterChef, honestly, was like, there's 100 people on set and all I could think of is that they're waiting for me to f**k up. The first time I went there, I thought it was getting stitched up because I don't want to do it unless I can use some kind of indigenous ingredients. So I did nothing for the entire cook. You'll see. If you go back and watch that one, I literally did nothing for 40 minutes. Because I imagine cooking in a kitchen is very different to cooking on television.
