What Are Shipping Lines Trying to Do in Order to Fight the Spot Market?
The spot market is still much lower than a contract rate market. The shipping line are trying to fight because they have secured their importers on deals six months ago and three months ago, before there was crazy in the form. So what they are trying to do is they're trying to cancel all of these voyages right? They are trying to control supply artificially. And again, less supply, more demand, which would mean price should go up.
