Lian: I think the bank was unduly influenced by experience of a few years ago, when we had increase in commodity prices. And it was very slow to pick up on the difference in the labor market and the different in the position with regard to aggregate demand. Lian says there's something wrong with the way not just the way the bank thinks about these things, but the way it operates. In particular, i think it pays too much attention to its own models and not enough attention to what's going on in the world outside.
