Being Compassionate About Someone's Suffering

Nita would want us to look at this from a slightly different perspective. Compassion isn't just pity or whatever nita's talking about there. Sometimes trying to help someone who's suffering when you're not qualified for the job can just end up hurting them more, or hurt you, or hurt the people around you. It may rob them of an opportunity to turn something seemingly negative into skills that will help them in the future. Maybe it robs them of the satisfaction they might otherwise have had if they solved the problem themselves. I mean, i agree with almost everything nich is saying there, but that's not my kind of compassion.
