The Future of Games Based Approaches
There's a 40th anniversary of the initial publication of the Teaching Games Understanding Model. There is a little bit of arguably a law in research on TGFU. I think that we need to get some people interested in doing research in it. USA, I feel hockey adopt teaching games for understanding. We were using it with England hockey before they moved to constraint led coaching. US soccer have adopted this player practice player which is their own kind of version of the tactical games model. And they understand like the fun maps research where kids want to have fun when they come to practice. This is a good way for them to have fun, to have coaches trained and understanding how to use game based coaching
