The Relationship Between Reagan and Lee

I almost expected the credits to just have mom, dad, son, daughter. There are a few times in this movie where it's like man, woman. It just isn't a bad thing. So they're in a store getting medicine for Marcus. The littlest kid, Bo, I think is his name, wants a rocket ship. He sees a battery powered rocket ship toy and he brings it over to his family. John Chris then freaks out and is like, no man, we can't immediately grabs it and takes the batteries out because it makes noise. But on the way out, Reagan gives the toy itself to the little kid. She does not give the batteries.
