How to Be a Successful Coffee Shop Owner

I wouldn't say there's key questions. That's also very important to try and find someone who's going to fit in with the team. You know, we're making five or 600 coffees a day on a weekday. There's five people working behind the bar in a very tight space. I really, really try hard to show respect, prove respect to them from the very start. But you respect them and you respect who they are but also that you expect respect back. Do you worry about your local competition? It drives me and my employees, especially my key staff members, to work harder and to beat them.
