There are a lot of sights out there claiming to know what the best color for buttons and calls to action are. In some cases, they went from a link in the text as their call to action to adding a big red or orange button with the call out. Was it the color, or the fact that there was a button at all, or the placement of the button, or the font, or the verbage? Those likely all changed when the button was added. So it isn't just color that impacted the result. This should instead be separated into multiple, many tests to determine what is really best for the piece.
