The Medusa Ransomware Attack on the Open University of Cyprus
Thrown was founded in 2021 as a proxy for creators and wishlists. The database was inadvertently configured to allow anyone on the internet to access the data inside. Thrown patched the bug and said that the unnamed privacy expert confirmed there was no data risk, but declined further comment. Medusa ransomware has claimed an attack on the open university of Cyprus. Attackers are offering the data for sale or deletion for $100,000.
