In the early 1900s, scientists in toronto were trying to develop a treatment for diabetes. They isolated pancreus from dogs and tried it out on human subjects. The results looked promising but they had problems with banting at the time. One scientist may have beaten another one up twice over his claims that he was better than everyone else.
