Mesoamericans and the Transition From Pleistocene to Holocene

Pollen analyses from very old sites suggest that they were exploiting cacao and tous sinte, a wild grass. There probably just weren't very many people living in Mesoamerica around this time. It's possible the Yucatan would have been much larger prior to the sea level rise of the Holocene.
