Are You Ambitious?
The problem is not that people are ambitious. It's in our deane to be ambitious. The issue is that we need to have more meaningful projects and meaningful work to channel people in instead of bulsha jobs. Being a doctor is one of the most meaningful, like, intellectually stimulating, emotionally charged jobs there is. And so many doctors to day spend forty % of their time doing stuff that has nothing to do with being a doctor. As a result, they're burning out. I don't think the thing to do is to tell them to be less ambitious. We should fix the freak in job so they're not jamming away the computer all day and they're treating patients.
