The Rainbows and the Demons

In Kabbalistic writings, it's often described very negatively even though ultimately in the system it has its place. Usually in our culture, dreams have a positive... Nightmares are negative, but dreams are good. Dream people want to lucid dream. People like to record their dreams and learn from their dreams. We have all these idioms like, you know, follow your dreams. Right? Dreams have become synonymous with wishes, right? I like this idea that dreams are monstrous. Not because every dream is monstrous, but because there's something about dreams philosophically speaking that can shed light on other things.
