The Future of Technology

Economist John Meener-Kanes predicted that by now, 100 years later, we would have a 15-hour work week because productivity would be so high. The only way to realize his prediction is if people could afford to make that decision. You can't regulate a short work week. People need to be able to afford to choose that. I would argue that technology is our common wealth. It's largely the result of contributions of scientists, academics, entrepreneurs and public financing from the past. We should share in its gains to some limited extent,. at least, very least to end poverty. That is how we progress forward as a species, frankly.
