The Good and the Bad of a Rational Creature
The more a man withdraws himself from external pomp and greatness, the better he is accounted. Neither would he be praise worthy that can live without them, or he good if these were good indeed. Society therefore is the proper good of a rational creature. To desire things impossible is the part of a madman, but it is a thing impossible that wicked man should not commit some such things.
